A view from the stage at the Jazz and Blues Market

New Orleans Jazz & Blues Market was originally called the New Orleans Jazz Market. It was built in 2015 and was meticulously engineered to be one of the top “listening rooms” in the country — designed and built with superior acoustics and an exceptional viewing experience from any seat in the venue. The aim was to establish the best intimate venue to showcase the world’s most talented jazz musicians.

In August 2025, the venue was renamed the “New Orleans Jazz & Blues Market” to include top-tier blues musicians. At the same time the sound system was fully upgraded to the highly regarded European manufacturer, RCF. Renowned for its precision engineering and sonic excellence, RCF transforms our venue into a listening environment with stunning clarity and presence—capturing every detail and nuance of the music.

Each seat at the New Orleans Jazz & Blues Market offers the kind of intimate, immersive experience expected from a superior world-class performance space. Our intention is to deliver the most outstanding memorable experiences – both for the audiences who love music and for the extraordinary musicians who grace our stage.

New Orleans Jazz & Blues Market’s home is 1436 Oretha Castle Haley Boulevard (currently free street parking and private valet parking for every show). Formerly Dryades Street, this Central City neighborhood produced Jazz legends such as Buddy Bolden, Kid Ory and Jelly Roll Morton.

In addition, New Orleans Jazz & Blues Market is home to the world-renowned New Orleans Jazz Orchestra (NOJO), a non-profit organization dedicated to strengthening the legacy of Jazz throughout New Orleans, local communities, and across the world!
