The newly reorganized New Orleans Jazz & Blues Market is focused on jazz and blues as the heritage of all music in this country. American culture bearers in these genres need and deserve recognition, adulation, support, and stages, or we will lose the music that runs through the veins of America’s culture. Live performance is critical to both sustaining these musicians and providing the kind of audience experiences that will open eyes, minds, and souls and thus sustain these critical art forms.
We take the history and iterations of this institution, good and bad, very seriously. Moving forward as New Orleans Jazz & Blues Market, we will always stand for showcasing and supporting jazz and blues as the origin of American music, for mutually respectful working arrangements with artists and, through our foundation, for finding meaningful ways to expand our positive impact.
